going to get fit but questions first!!!!!
When to buy
I bought mine the last day of the month at 6 pm. Got $500 off sticker, and $3,000 more for trade-in than any other place I had been to earlier in the month. Dealer said he had a quota to make, and would do whatever it took. He did. I am happy.
True... I was going to say something about return of the Jedi, but I had an ewok flashback and decided against it. Wedge and lando calrissian giving it to the death star, proctology style...something like that.
Agreed. I think it would be the death nail, although there are quite a few people out there who A. hate hatchbacks B. want more power than a fit hybrid would give and C. want to look cool in a HYBRID ONLY platform. Probably not enough to save the insight, but there was a recent article that stated that Honda engineers are retooling the insight to soften the ride, increase the fuel economy and save the day. Maybe they'll try to set it further apart from an eventual Fit Hybrid?
We'll see.

Jedi was a re make of Star Wars but with a fuzzy animals...Long live the empire!
The Hybrid market is an odd one, Honda would do better to sell an SI Fit. The Market would be up for that...their next Hybrid should be an SUV...oddly enough I believe there is a market for larger fuel efficient SUV's. Like the Diesels in Europe they offer lots of room, safety. pretty much "Im bigger so Im betterness" that Californian's seem to suffer from, and if you could get them to around 30 MPG/ and under 35K to by I think they would sell...
that is the general mark up that honda vehicle have from year to year like we know the accords will end up being about 1500-2000 more. I checked with my general manager and the fit and cr-v will be the last to hit the states and we still dont have a solid price on anything really. that is a guess but it seems like the progression, plus you dont think they would put VSA in car without adding to the MSRP
i really dont get how a fit hybrid fits in honda portfolio of cars. i mean hell there phasing out the civic hybrid for that craptastic insight. hondas hybrid system is not nearly as good as toyotas, sad to say but true. autoblog had an article about how they are looking to revamp the system for the insight. to put that into the fit and having more issue in the press is not what honda needs. jermy clarkson called the engine in the insight sounding like a dog in a meat grinder, need i say more.
