RDM (Random) light on stereo won't come on

RDM (Random) light on stereo won't come on

I have a two week old 2009 black Fit Sport AT... I absolutely love the car. I'm listen to my ipod thru the USB port and usually keep this on the random (RDM) setting. Today I noticed that the RDM indicator was off on the screen. Holding the button would result in a beep but the indicator would not turn on or off

. Do I already have a problem? Any suggestions?

I'm inclined to think it's an issue with your iPod, not the car. Did you try resetting your iPod? How to reset iPod

Replug the ipod back in and see if it will re-light up the RDM.

Ok... so I tried resetting the ipod nano to no avail... Still couldnt get the RDM setting to come up. So I unplugged it from the usb port and used the ipod menu to put in on Shuffle.. Magic! When I plugged it back in the RDM indicator came back on..

I find this strange because I had been able to toggle the RDM on and off... now i cant... whatever life goes on i suppose.
