Since we're not going to get the Euro-spec Fiesta and since I bought my dream car anyway, I'll stick to my Fit.

However, I do want this if it makes it to the states in th Abarth SS version:

Ford is playing the cargo capacity of the Fiesta rather coyly... the car has
been available in Europe for quite some time and still the US site doesn't list the cargo
capacity of the Fiesta... and there is no photo nearly as straightforward as this one
on the Ford site... which leads me to believe that the cargo capacity of the Fiesta
is not the reason to buy the car.

I would have assumed that the seat bottom would fold forward and the seat back
would then lay nearly flat... ala Aveo, Focus, Golf, Rabbit, etc.

I find it hard to believe that this is the best a Fiesta buyer would get:

That is terrible. I never seen that picture before, but if that is the final version there doesn't seem any advantage to buy the Fiesta hatchback over the sedan with the exception of looks.

Now we all know the Fit destroys the Fiesta in terms of space, but how is Honda going to react to the claims of better handling on the Fiesta? Maybe offer bigger (wider) wheels instead of the ridiculous 185/16's on the Fit? A six speed would be nice and maybe a suspension calibration? Or maybe Honda won't do anything and will be content with being second fiddle in terms of handling and number one in terms of space for this segment?
