HELP! Need to attach Pioneer HU !

I seem to have the wiring correct but for the life of me, I can't figure out how you anchor the HU to the car. I have a kit from Crutchfield but not seeing how to attach the brackets to car and the radio.

It came with the adapter but looks the same as the existing one except for the additional mini plug. Does the unit work off my existing connections ? I wouldn't think I have to connect my Ipod from the front of the unit ?

huh... is that a TRS plug or 4pin? if TRS, then i'd imaging you stick that in the aux input and the USB into your USB input.

It looks like the USB provides power and the TRS audio...

What does your instructions say? (I dont use ipod so not very
familiar).

Not sure what a TRS plug is but it appears you have to connect the Ipod from the front which I was trying to avoid. You would think with AV connections on the back of HU, there would be a way without having a usb cable dangling from the front of the unit.

TRS is Tip Ring Sleeve or your standard 3pin stereo headphone plug.

yah, you might want to just get a USB flash drive and use that instead... i got a stubby one from ebay for like $20 (8GB). LEXAR or something it was called.

there's even stubbier ones for $35 used on notebooks.

Thanks, I appritiate the help. I'll keep huntin around and see if anyone has found a way to connect from the back of the HU, until then I'll just deal with it. It is pretty cool how it controls the Ipod, even shows album covers of the song while you listen.

Ine of my best friends is like that. He buys every other player but an Ipod.
To each his own. I have heard good things about that Zen.

Some years back my choice was between a zen or a toshiba gigabeat. I went with toshiba- the 40 gig unit. Great unit this is, but not compatable with the usb hookup. Shame. I too will be grabbing a stubby.

Nomad Jukebox 6GB owner here. Also used archos units since the jukebox studio 20 (currently have a 605WiFi)

Apple has the best interface but... I use my 8GB flash drive in the Fit.
