Haven't run across any threads doing that that I can remember, you might check in the bodywork or lighting subforums to see if anyone else has posted about it.

Might be easier to just put the film over it though.

You're probably right, and cheaper.

Had my Fit for a month and I already have a broken fog light! I don't use the fog lights too much... so the $180 I was quoted to replace it seemed a bit ridiculous. So was just thinking of letting it stay broken, or cutting a Lexon replacement for it.

None of the Dodges I owned with fog lamps ever had a cracked lens in over 200,000 miles of accumulated driving. Those fog lamps had lexan plastic lenses. Why, oh why, in the name of everything holy would Honda make fog lamps with GLASS lenses?

When this happened to my '09 Sport a month after I bought it the dealers here in Canada wanted almost $300 for ONE ASSEMBLY(!)

So I resolved to wait until an aftermarket source for these units came up. No word yet on whether they're now avialable from Napa or others.

In the meantime I simply bought some cheapie vinyl clear-lens protectant for both of them. Problem is, I figured more was better and slapped it on three layers thick and with no indent around the perimeters. And I leave my fogs on most of the time. Now the vinyl is discolored, especially at the center where the lenses are hottest. Must fix when I return from the arctic...
