Windshield Wonder

Given the size of a Fit's windshield, and the difficulty of cleaning to the bottom, I'm surprised I haven't seen any mention of this gizmo here.

While I wouldn't order one mail order or via TV, I saw these things for sale in a clearance bin at Fry's Electronics, and decided to give it a chance. I have to say that it really works, making cleaning to the bottom of the windshield an easy task, rather than one requiring the skills of a contortionist. It fits easily in the Fit glove compartment, and hasn't rattled yet.

I bought something similar from Griot's five or more years ago...
Window Cleaner Set - Interior Detailing - Car Care - Griot's Garage

They do work pretty well.

I have one, it works pretty good. My only concern is it is made of a kinda brittle plastic, I think if you push too hard the handle will snap off! I does make reaching the bottom corners of the windscreen much easier.

I got one at Ace and the pad comes to a point- a triangle shape. Comes with different types of pads too. It does well. I couldn't do the Fit without it, inside or out. I even used it, and stoners invisible glass on my windows in the house. All good stuff, although I'm not sure I'd classify the stoners as a cleaner. It almost seems more of a finisher, to me.

Stoner's invisible glass? Sounds like a California product from the 1970's -- no, that would be stoner's invisible grass.

I use this with my cars and my detail jobs. Works very well.

Glass Cleaner | Surface Cleaning Equipment | Reach And Clean Tool

They carry them at my local grocery store.
