the people who installed mine didn't have to clip anything and took them less than 30 min.It has a like a 25' cable that plugs into another connector coming from plate frame, the other end plugs direct to the back of the radio. If you like, I have another one just like it in the box I can take pics for you.

Well, for what it's worth, parallel parking the Fit, thanks to its short wheelbase and great rear visibility (the rear window is practically even with the rear bumper - no guessing where a sedan trunk ends!). It's great to be able to easily squeeze into spaces that others pass up, either because they are driving too long a vehicle to easily squeeze in, or their are too lacking in confidence or proficiency to pull into the space, i.e. they can't just back in, pull forward, and be done with it!

I used to parallel park with my extended cab pickup. I got pretty good with it, so going to the Element (about 9" longer than the Fit) was a breeze! And the Fit... well, if you can't get it in the traditional way, you can always just pick it up and set it in the space!

I have the same camera installed on my Pioneer 4100. I didn't have to flip mine upside down. Here in TN I guess the word Tennessee is low enough on the plate where it can sit normally without blocking it. For the couple of people on here that say the thing is useless, you're just jealous.

I've got a winding driveway and I use to have to open the door or roll down the window to keep from running in and out of the yard. With this thing I have simply back down and use the screen to guide me. The picture at night is TOP NOTCH. It makes it look like its a daytime shot almost (except it's tones of green like night vision). The Boyo satin black frame blends almost seamlessly with my black fit so you can't even tell it's there looking at the back of the vehicle.

This rear view add on combined with the pioneer bluetooth add on I purchased when I got my Pioneer 4100 make driving my fit that much more enjoyable and bring it up to the technological speed of other more expensive vehicles in my mind.

Glad to see there are other fit owners out there using this mod.

I agree, the images are top notch on the rear view cam. I wished I'd have gotten the 4100 instead of my 3100. My beef with the 3100 is the fact I have connect the Ipod via usb in front instead of hidden connecting to rear of HU.

Good, practical mod. It'd at least mitigate the blind spot created by the area of the hatch beneath the rear window.

Lord knows I bumped into a low lying bench while backing up within the first two days of driving my GD...that bench was impossible to see as it was so low.
