Backup camera as rear view

Hey All,

In my 2013 Civic I was able to turn my backup camera on while driving to use it as a rear view mirror. Is there a way to do this on the 2015 Fit with the 7" touch screen? Thanks in advance.

I haven't seen anything about this here at all. That could be cool but I wonder if it would get distracting or annoying after a while ...

I stumbled on a way to activate the rear camera while driving. I made a big post about it, but it seems to have been removed. I think maybe we're not supposed to talk about it.

It can be a bit nauseating if you watch too much, but it did come in handy at times, especially if you are being tail-gated.

Safety Issue?

It's probably a safety issue and the forum doesn't want to be held liable which is completely understandable. Does this forum have PM capabilities?

Has anyone actually won a liability suit against a forum?

If a moderator says it's OK. I spent a lot of time on that post. I don't want to waste the time again.

I'd like to be able to use it without shifting to reverse simply so I can check where the rear of the car is while parking. It's handy to make sure that I'm not into a red curb zone. It would make a lousy rear-view "mirror" as it is very wide-angle.

It's probably a matter of a switch closure or voltage available from the shifter.

Its accessible from the hidden sub menu but I need 2 hands to get to that so not really do-able or advised while driving and too much work just for parking. I'm hoping for something simple

Hey guys, I currently have my 2017 Fit rear camera wired this way to a toggle switch! Works like a charm. I have just created a new thread I will be posting pictures / videos for the HOW TO.
