Is there any way to activate the back-up camera without putting the Fit into reverse? It might be nice to use as a rearview mirror for those times when cargo is blocking the view out the back window.

 

Nope, not unless you get that LaneWatch bug that accidentally shows the backup camera instead of the LaneWatch camera. Actually, if you're hauling stuff, the LaneWatch camera does a good job of showing what's behind the car.

 

Yes lane watch is good for rear view... but, my LX is not equipped with that. Maybe I will come up with a mod that gives an auxiliary switch to activate the backup cam. I wish a wiring diagram was available for the 2015 Fit.
