curiosity

Me and this one kid had an argument. Who would win in a race? 2004 honda civic stock or a 2009 honda fit stock ? Both stock with auto trans.

I'm not sure, but I could tell you one thing, it wouldn't be exciting.

On a straight away or curvy track?

Take them to a track and try it out.

The 2004 Honda Civic - hp varies if it is a SI it would have 160 hp - compaired to the Fits 117 hp. I would say the Fit would start pretty well on the take off - but then the Civic would go hard on the end. It all depends on driver reaction off the line. It would be a slow race, no wheelies and definitely not a 10 second car!

I know that I took a 2005 LX auto. I used to have a 2001 Honda Civic EX and it does not pull that great compared to the Fit.

OP stated auto trans. i dont think the newer k series si's were ever made in auto. si models always came in stick only as of 99'.

i thinks itll be a tie.

Based on the specs it looks like the Fit would have a slight advantage only by weight and hp but lose on tq.
04 Civic auto 115hp 1.7L 110ftlb tq. weight 2703lbs
09 Fit auto 117hp 1.5L 106ftlb tq weight ~2500lbs.
Sounds to me it's too close to tell. Need a real life test.
Either way that's one sloooooow race.

Just get out the car and run. You'll probably have a better shot.
