I will help you out but you posted this in the wrong section bud.

First check and make sure your vehicle has not been filled with leaded gas or worked on the engine using silicone. The catalytic converter of engines easily deteriorate when exposed to leaded fuel and sealants such silicone when used internally such as intake manifold engine jobs. If this is not it next check the o2 sensors. I would then start by replacing these and getting the light reset. I have also heard it could be a failed catalyst, but the catalyst rarely fails for no reason. It was usually poisoned by contamination, or overheated by a rich air/fuel mixture.

On a side note: If the code 420 accompanied by no engine performance usually means a defective cat.

Please re-post in the 1st Gen section. 01-08 Fits.
Good luck

Although your right that this is the wrong forum, remember that for some weird reason Fitfreak decides to also put 08 in the 2nd Generation Forum.

2nd Generation (GE 08-present)

They claim its because overseas the GE came out in 08 or whatever it may be, but it causes alot of confusion.

I do remember but he/she doesn't live oversees in Hotlanta.
Thus should be with the other NA 1st Gens.
When I referenced the 08 in the wrong section yes I should have clarified it only pertains to NA 08's.

Now if he/she is talking about their 09 SSM 2nd Gen then we welcome with open arms lol.

I wasn't disagreeing with you. I was just stating that the forum titles are unclear and can cause confusion to new people.
