Loose Hood?

I've noticed on my car, with the hood fully closed, that it does not close tight and there is a little bit of play. Is this common on the 2010 Fit or a defect?

Thanks for the help!

Mine isn't here right now to look at but if you have two rubber stops below the front of your hood when it is closed it's possible they are adjustable (up).

Screw-adjustable bumpers are the norm. You can experiment with screwing them out to put a little pressure on the hood. If this raises the edges of the hood above the fender line, you can probably adjust the latch.

Just went outside and checked mine to see, not really any play, but the center of the bonnet does kind of wiggle ever so slightly (barely), but the sides don't budge at all. There are definitely 2 rubber bumpers you can raise up and down. Maybe just raise them up gradually and find what works best.
