CEL after intake install
Hey man, is there anyway I can get you to make me something similar to what you did for your fix. I don't know where to get that material or how to trim it down. I only have a metal lathe and that wont exactly work. It would need to be a 3 inch outer diameter tapered down to the 2" ID necessary for the MAF not to throw a CEL. Thanks in Advance!
Not really a good time to fit anything "Non" business in to the mix. I'm still trying to get a couple of other ideas through the shop and have not had the machine time for a couple of months now. If I can get an opening I will get back to you. Sorry.
Is the chuck in your lathe too small for a 3" OD? Delrin cuts very well for a plastic and you should have no issues as long as your machine can hold it. Here is a link where you can find some material. McMaster-Carr .
I saw your setup and it looks like your MAF sensor sits a little high in the intake. Pull the filter off and see where the little square opening in MAF lines up in the tube. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but it should be centered if not close to center of the tube to give a proper reading. I had to mill down the block the sensor mounted to in order to center it in my setup.

Thanks for the info. Regarding the 6" comment, are you sure about that? There are tons of people doing this setup where the whole intake assembly isn't even long enough for that, i'm not too sure that necessary.
I.E. If using a 3" sensor, use 3" charge piping.
