thanks for the help and everything. and these intakes look baller. i see they make one for my s2000 as well. its not really ready for a new airfilter but i may have to re-up on it also. was that little improvement in horsepower even noticeable? i hear they sound pretty wicked. im not sure if mine would since i havent messed with the exhaust for fear of becoming a rice burner. but i think it may be too late. im honda for life now.

I have the original long (CAI) that only fit the MT (intake cone is way down at the right of the lower radiator). So it is not very loud to the drivers seat.
Baylorbro I think has the short ram (which is probably a little louder logically as it is close to the driver). Yes I do notice the 6 or so + HP.

Back to your turbo request. Items have been slow to roll out for the GE since it was released as this big recession hit. And FI kits for the previous generation did not quite meet expectations sales wise according to some aftermarket suppliers.

yeah that combined with the states just recently getting the fit have probably lessened the production of a turbo at least stateside. i mean i like the speed that my fit goes. honestly its one of the quicker cars ive owned since i live out in the middle of nowhere and have owned mostly large vehicles like explorers. but i wouldnt mind a bit more pep. i just recently got into the honda game so any other ideas for making it a bit quicker or sound better or just generally more fun are greatly appreciated. im good with wiring. ive got a whole stereo set up. and i must say my subwoofers sound fantastic in this small car and ive wired up some blue leds on the floorboards to match the dash. my eventual plans are to tint out the windows and throw some black rims on it and lower it because i have the blackberry pearl and i think black rims would go well and the large windows look weird untinted. and i think it sits just a bit high but who knows i may think differently with a different set of rims on it.

Word up to a fellow Columbus Fit.
I'm on the east side (Blacklick, Reynoldsburg, Gahanna area). If you see a lowered silver Fit around that's me (Not to many in little Columbus if any lol). Feel free to give me a honk and a wave. Welcome to the boards. If you need any detailing done as well let me know. Check out my site below.

BTW just to add to this thread. As soon as Kraftwerks gets a sc for us...I am really going to consider getting it. 5psi of boost will make this little go kart so much fun.

Water injection.

30 years ago I used to install water injection spray nozzles into the intake to get more horsepower... similar to the fighter aircraft of WWII. Has anybody checked that out in the Fit. The installation was very low cost and the only problem was having to fill up the water reservoir every couple of days. Can this be a low cost alternative to special filters, turbos, etc.?

I have an 08 and 09. I can say that putting K and N filters in each car has boosted the mileage if I drive the same way, and definitely has more horsepower for acceleration if needed.

I read alot of comment saying that there isn't any turbo kits available for the GE...but then I found this on youtube:

YouTube - HONDA FIT 1.5 AT TURBO ?? ?? 1.5 ?? ?? 0.5bar

There are turbo kits for GEs, just not in US.

Correct, and at least one guy here in the states has his own custom on the GE. His name is F-Tech or something like that.

I imagine its only a matter of time before one is mass produced. The 09 sales did really well for the fit. It would only make sense to me.

How about a nitrous bottle? That should give you more than 5hp...

if it was mine i would do nitrous. way easier. mistake me if im wrong but the exhaust manifold is part of the head... like the civics r18...the only thing that is bolted off that is the down pipe converter. im guessing they wont maufacture a kit for one of these. a supercahrger would be easier to manufacture.

this i know nothing about. but i was under the impression that nitrous was hell on a car. isnt attaching a nitrous bottle the same as putting a death sentence on my little four cylinder engine? how much you asking for that kit your selling? any reason why your not using it?

I got the PRM intake, and also really support it. Not only does it add a little pep when you want it. I've noticed significant gains in FE with it when I'm just driving normally. I'm guessing it helped add about 2-4 mpg. More than adding the exhaust added when I got it later.

I don't know if this is on topic but I was at the Canton Trade Fair for the past week and I found a Turbo Kit that works for the new Fit (aka GE). Now this kit, like 90% of all the things around the world nowadays, is made in china. I havent actually seen one installed on a fit in China yet but the owner of the shop said they have one in stock in their store (I was visiting their booth in the fair).

I'll be heading down to their shop tomorrow to get some visual confirmation. Not sure if you guys are interested but from personal experience of having a turbo'ed fit before... for the extra 4-5000 dollars, I dunno if its really worth the hassle. Yes your car become one of a kind, but for so much money, u can use it elsewhere =\

*sidenote* Yes, there's full CF Spoilers for the GE already. they are replicas of spoon and mugen... I cant upload photos behind the great fire-wall of china but as soon as I am out of this place, i'll start a new GI thread.

nitrous is the same as a turbo or a supercharger... only difference is its not all the time. it is air being forced into the engine. the way people blow theie engines is they put bigger jets which puts more air but doesnt do anything about the fuel so it runs really lean and..... KABOOM!!!! but if you do it right and dont get to nitrous happy it will work just as good. and im sure a 50 shot wouldntbe too hard on the motor. wet kits are a lot of work but a dry kit work work great. check out link

I like my PRM intake a whole bunch

...i think a 7WHP boost is pretty remarkable for a simple bolt on for our cars that are so light. I would certainly believe that you could feel those gains and with the better fuel economy to offset the relatively minor expense of $239....seems like a no brainer!
