A "David and Goliath" moment with our Fit
Haha that's pretty funny. I think a lot of people park next to the fit just to see a size comparison cause I tend to park in the back where no one is so no one will hit my doors and ruin my paint but always find someone with a larger SUV next to me.
obviously...smart ars
I was just showing combined miles doesn't beat the Fits. Gallons was not suppose to be included in the formula. It was just a joke.

It's funny how so much of our perceptions are psychological and we are just conditioned to respond.
I have a good long time friend, and he and his wife are a two SUV vehicle family. He drives the enormous Dodge Pick-Up. It's his personal choice.
My personal philosophy is to TRY to drive a vehicle you enjoy and that most precisely meets your needs. For me? That's The Fit.
We joke back and forth, him giving me a bad time about driving the "toy" car. I giving him a bad time about driving the gas guzzler.
The way I look at it? Perceived roominess while sitting in the drivers seat is great in The Fit and configurable cargo space is really amazing. Meantime? I drive alone to the coast and back? I use 1/2 a tank of gas. He and his wife drive to the coast? He's filling up at least once.
Which is fine, if he wants to pay the money. BUT honestly friend or not, I've noticed most of the time his pick-up bed is empty, and thus he's using his big Dodge in the same manner as my Fit.
I've learned to enjoy being "small" and take pride in the efficiency in the same manner that he seems to enjoy stepping up into his GIANT gas mobile.
But to me, it should be picking the right tool for the job. Too many people driving HUGE vehicles when all they really need is something like The Fit.

Have you seen the movie "Over the Hedge"?
There's a reference to the same thing...
one animal asks another about how many people the HUGE Hummer-look-alike SUV can carry, the other animal responds with one.
When I drive around, its usually the same thing... 8 seat Ford Expedition, with just the driver and no cargo. Or more generically, large 15-18 mpg vehicles capable of a ton of cargo and/or 5-8 people, but instead only have one or two people and nearly no cargo.
Of course there's the side effects of people driving large SUVs with the excuse that OTHER people are... they can't drive it. You get drivers that have no idea how big or small their vehicle actually is, they drive across multiple lanes, hit curbs as they turn, etc.
Yup.

We have the tourneo connect but it's much more expensive than in Europe (canadian prices at least), and almost no versions (short/long, 7 seater, diesel, std tranny, etc.)
