Anyways if VSA means alot to you then you should wait and get a 2011, but if it's not that important to you then I would shop around get a killer deal and buy a 2010, before the price goes up and the incentives go away.
Hey... you realize stability control and traction control are not the same thing, right? Traction control is much more analogous to 4 wheel drive (getting your started moving) while VSA is more analogous to anti-lock brakes (keeping you in control once you are moving).

A well designed stability control system is one that you never know you used.

The difference is quite dramatic. Without ESC, the Fit loses directional control and nearly rolls over.

This is clearly a promotional piece. Without ESC the driver doesn't countersteer at all. The movement back to center is very slow and gradual.

With ESC the movement back to center, and possible a little further, is a quick snap.

I am not necessarily arguing against ESC. The video is actually a good driver test. Show it to the customer when they buy the car. If they're impressed with the results, hardwire their ESC on. If the customer is able to see through the marketing they get a switch that can turn it off, without having to turn it off each time they get back in the car.

Hey all. I'm sitting at the dealer right now and next to me is the 2011 Fit color chart.

For 2011 there are 8 total color choices, 7 of which avaible for the Base model.

Black Berry Pearl, Tidewater Blue Metallic, Blue Sensation Pearl, and Storm Silver Metallic are gone. Meaning that Taffeta White, Orange Revolution Metallic (still Sport only color), Milano Red, and Crystal Black Pearl are to remain from last year.

Replacing them will be Alabaster Silver Metallic (replacing SSM), Celestial Blue Metallic (replacing TWB), Vortex Blue Pearl (replacing BSP), and Polished Metal Metallic (a dark grey replacing BBP).

So to cleanly list the color choices, I'll relist them in grid order...

Taffeta White
Alabaster Silver Metallic
Celestial Blue Metallic
Orange Revolution Metallic
Milano Red
Polished Metal Metallic
Vortex Blue Pearl
Crystal Black Pearl.

Hootie - Cool thanks for the color info!
Did you happen to see any MSRP listings?

2011 Honda Fit Colors

to get an idea of these color changes:

the Honda Accord comes in 3 of these 4 colors (Alabaster Silver Metallic,
Celestial Blue Metallic & Polished Metal Metallic).

2011 Honda Accord Sedan - Exterior Colors - Official Honda Site

the Acura TSX is available in Vortex Blue
2010 Acura TSX | Colors & 360s: Exterior Color | Acura.com

I am wondering if the quality of the paint finish on the Fit will improve since Honda now has several models with the same colors?

Unfortunately, I did not and I forgot to ask when the 2011 will be released. There were only 3 GEs on the lot, 2 2010s and 1 2009.

Pretty conservative new color offerings. Safe. But I'm surprised of some colors that remain, as I don't find them driving around a lot over here, such as the white and black.

I agree. Am sad to see BBP gone- it was an awesome color. Two shades of silver & no metallic red or metallic white.
I also like my Tidewater Blue with it's hint of purple better than the Celestial blue

Hard to tell from photos how close Vortex Blue is to Blue Sensation.

I don't get the attraction to the PMM. I think folks lust after the name, not the color. It's just metallic grey for cryin' out loud.

Grey is also one of the least visible colors --since it is basically the same color as the road.

I've seen Vortex Blue on the TSX, and it's pretty darn close to Blue Sensation, might be a little brighter, but not much...see photo here:
Acura TSX wallpaper # 11 of 147, Front Angle, MY 2009, 1280x960

(Although it's hard to determine with everyone's computer monitor having different resolutions - best seen in person)

Much like Fiji Blue Pearl from the 06-08 Civic Si is almost identical to the Blue Sensation Pearl for our 09-10 Fits...at the end of the day, it's a bright-ish, cobalty, sparkly bluey color that I love love love on my car!

All this color talk makes me want to go and wash my car, but we're having stupid rain now - can't see the sparkles!

I like it because of the color. I'm a guy and I personally like dark colors. I love black/grey/silver cars. I think the metallic grey (PMM) just looks more rugged than the SSM...but that's just my personal opinion.

Black is the same color as night, white is the same color as snow, grey is the same color as fog.

Day-glo orange roadsign paint it is!

My daughter loves the green hybrid jazz one. She'd LOVE that! They should try the green color here. I bet it would do well.

Hey guys. I just found this sit that has a color chart of the exterior colors of Honda cars. Vortex blue pearl looks almost identical to blue sensation pearl.

Nooooooooooooooooo BBP! Sad to see it go, not many purple cars out there these days Orange is fast becoming popular - I see a lot of the spicy/dark shades out there (Edge, '11 Mini, a couple others).
