Help!!--Trying to program keyless entry remote on 2010 base fit
OK, I ordered 2 keyless entry keys and have followed the programming instructions below a few dozen times, but nothing is happening. What am I doing wrong? Is there something I need to do after each failed attempt to "reset" the key remote and/or the car? The lights are working on the remotes so I'm assuming it's not a battery issue. I just cannot get step #12 to happen, so it's not going into "programming mode." Any advice you can offer would be very welcome!!

I have the same problem on my 2010 base. I hear so many success stories it's very frustrating not being able to make this work.
I've tried everything I can think of. Replacing the battery on the remote, disconnecting the battery of the car and reconnecting... Ugh.
Anyone with troubleshooting advice is greatly appreciated. I cannot make this work. I have tons of alarm experience too, I've set up window roll up modules, trunk poppers, remote start systems... Not being able to make this basic keyless entry fob work is really a blow to my ego
HELP!!!
Is there a fuse that could be missing? Something the dealer took out when they pulled the harness for that aftermarket POS alarm they have in the car when you buy it and they pull out when you don't want it?

It turns out the problem with getting the keyless working with my 2010 Base Fit was the remotes we ordered. The ones we bought were not the original manufacturer made. Where did you buy your remotes? We returned the first set of remotes and ordered from College Hills Honda. It worked like a charm--it literally took 30 seconds to program once we had the right remotes.
