Bought used fit at 1958 miles & new oil, what about break-in? :o
I bought a certified pre-owned 2009 base and noticed the oil life is at 100% and the dip stick had brand-new looking oil on it when i bought the car.
Should I be worried about anything if the dealership changed out the break-in oil for regular dino at the dealership @ ~1950 miles?
I suppose I would be covered by the warranty, but I plan to have this car for a very long time....long after the warranty has worn out.
Thoughts?

A certified pre-owned dealer car is covered under the full warranty. I've been told by my Honda dealer that special break-in oil is not used by Honda. Some here have a different point of view, however, you should have no problems what-so-ever regarding the oil your car. Don't change it till the MM oil life is at 15% - all will be fine.
I'm confident the dealer did change the oil following Honda's recommendation of 15% oil life or once a year - whichever comes first.
The manual refers to the way you drive for the first 500miles as far as break-in is concerned. I'm figuring that my Fit's engine wasn't fully broken-in until 8Kmiles or so. That's when I saw the MPG's level off to a nice 40.

oil is oil... who knows if that break in stuff is real or fake... if they coated the cylinder walls with moly, then perhaps that stuff wears off and thats why its in the oil when they do the oil analyst...
OR the second theory could potentially be correct where honda puts in a "break in" oil so that it would coat the cylinder walls with the moly for protection.
