The base fit bumper is different form the sport. I was wondering the one pictured in the link below on the sport would work for my base fit, any ideas??

Probably not since it is shown on the sport.

Do yourself a favor and buy a mesh sheet and cut it yourself. It will probably cost you less than $20. That's what I did.

As already mentioned, this one is shown on the Sport Model. I looked all over the place and couldn't find one that fit the base model - so am forced to make my own using mesh and wire ties as shown in a few other threads.

If anyone finds a grille for the base Fit - I'd like to hear about it. It looks like it would be a tough one to design as compared to the sport model.

 

The Accessory grill is listed to fit both the base and the sport... I'm sure they mount the same. BTW I cross ref'ed Majestic honda under grill trim. It's the acc sport grill and it's the same P/N for Base and Sport.

My only point is any grill USDM should fit regardless of sport or base...

Only if you're talking about the upper grille.

The lower grille is different from Sport vs Base.

Edit: and yes, the OP is talking about the lower grille. If you look at the ebay link, there's a red box in the picture around the lower grille, not the upper grille.

 

My bad I read grill and thought upper grill not bumper insert. The lower portion is obviously different, and will not fit. Unless you do like me and hit someone just hard enough to gouge the bumper but not damage any of the support structure. I have to replace the bumper so I "wasted" money on a sport bumper (still needs to be painted), fogs, wire harness, relay, and combo switch. I got it all from Dan @ CFL. I started getting parts from there after reading the keyless entry thread. I got my key from CFL. Anyways, my goal is to do a MUGEN kit and therefore needed the bumper anyways... Again, I apologize. I misunderstood. When you do the mesh post pics! I'd like to see how it looks when you're done!

The one he shows would not, but try asking the seller if he sells one for the base fit. They're hand-made I think, so who knows, right?
