Buying a second Fit! Dealer cost/invoice price...

I love my 2010 Fit Sport SO much that I'm buying a second one. Right now my husband and I are sharing, but I'm starting a new job and am going to need my own car.

I found a Honda dealership in my area that offers a deal to teachers:

"New vehicles at cost plus three to five per cent depending on availability and market conditions"

I know that dealerships don't advertise their cost, and I am wondering how I can find this out? I'm in Ontario (Toronto area).

I know the dealership will likely add on the full five percent, and I'm fine with that, but I'm really curious as to where I can find the invoice price so I can make sure they give me the correct deal...?

Any thoughts?

I have seen this site advertising for dealer cost, but never used it. You may have to pay.
Car Cost Canada - Home Page

However, there is a $2500 discount on the Fit offered by Honda till end of Nov. It is also getting close to end of 2010 model year. You should be able to get one with options and negotiate a good price.

Thanks!

I emailed the sales person we bought our first Fit from to let him know I'm coming in on Thursday. Hopefully he can offer me a good deal.

...I don't see the $2500 discount for the fit on the Honda website though, looks like that's just for the Civic

It is on the Honda.ca website. I see they made it less obvious, may be the sales is going better than expected, they are hiding it now. Here is the link. Good luck.

For the dealer's true cost, you should check out carsaver.ca. They provide free car price reports via email. Good luck!
