squeaky suspension question

squeaky suspension question
at about 20,000 miles i already noticed some light/limited front end suspension squeaking (unknown specific source). i'm currently at 24,000 miles. i can hear the squeaking when i go over my condos speed bumps at 15 mph. but no squeak at 10 mph.
i also hear it when backing out of my brother's driveway and a friend's driveway, which has a bit of a slope to it.
otherwise i generally dont hear it.
question: i dont plan on going back to the dealer until my next oil change, probably in March (another 3000 miles). am i risking anything by waiting? or should i address it sooner? the sheer fact i have any squeaking at 20,000 miles is annoying.

No, you aren't risking anything warranty wise since this will be covered under your 3 year/36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty. However, are you 100% sure that the squeak is coming from the suspension and not from the dash or some item inside the car? The dashes on Fits usually become quite squeaky when the weather begins to get colder.
Try having someone ride in and/or drive your Fit in those specific areas that you usually hear this noise. Have either you or them listen for the source of the noise from both inside and outside the car so you can find and confirm its location.

thanks for the response.
definitely not the dash. it's coming from around the wheels. i have all the windows down when i'm checking out the squeaking.
my sister's 1994 ford focus with 185,000 miles on it, which she bought from a friend for $1, after sitting outside for 1 full year, unused, doesn't even squeak. lol. ooofah.

Mine has a squeak/scrunch from what sounds like the front suspension area when it's cold when going over large dips/bumps like speed bumps. Figured it's probably bushings or something but I haven't looked into it yet.

could be the swaybar bushings. if that was my car i would remove the bushing, white litheum grease inside and out of the bushing and assemble back.
make sure you grease between the outer bushing and the mounting bracket.

Back in the bad-old-days I'd watch the alignment guys spray stuff on the control arm bushings of 1970 buicks to stop squeaks.
When I asked Honda during my last oil change to spray my Fit's front end bushings with something to stop squeaks they looked at me like a puzzled dog and suggested I have them replace the bushings, whereupon I adopted the puzzled dog look.
Some of this stuff in a hand sprayer should do the trick; "removes rubber squeaks in bushings and grommets." It's antifreeze with a bit of soap, so maybe mix up your own...

heh, and the product I linked is available online from amazon today...
Some sort of penetrating lubricating spray that does not harm rubber should be fine. They're not intended to need lubrication.

First question; do you a Progress rear sway bar? If so, the bolts under the springs are causing the squeak. I’ve replaced my bolts with flat head M10 bolts. I had to drill countersinks for the heads in the lower spring seats. That cured my squeak.
If the noise is coming from the front, pick up your car and blow out any dust in the upper and lower spring seats…they are rubber. Then spray on some ArmorAll. You want to get it in between the spring and the seat. Do this for the front and the rear.

Silicone spray is a good idea! I didn't have any, so I didn't use it. You would probably have to do it less often with silicone spray. But hose out the dirt first!

Squeaking front suspension
My '11 Fit at 5k miles has developed front suspension squeak/scrunch going over medium sized speed bumps where I live. I have 3 speed bumps going out to the road so it is consistent and not the dash.
When the car was new, there was no noise going over those bumps. I'm rather gentle driving over it too..so its not like I hammer those bumps.
No sound from the rear...only from the fronts.
Anyone got this fixed and cured?

mine has started to do this now the weather is getting cold, it was quieter today almost went away because it is milder today, don't think it is anything to worry about, my car is a march 2011 with 6000 miles on
