V. Rabite adds Color

Yeah yeah, I know...
The JDM badges are ordered. Pure rice, but they do look nice.

Thule rack and fairing ordered. I am going to use 58inch bars. I am not sure that this would be ricey - too functional. Going with the bigger bars as I like to use a car topper and still have room for my bike, and with the standard 50 inch bars you can't do both. Also, with 50 inch bars you can not put a 4x8 sheet of plywood on the rack and still have room to support it - and I end up needing to do this at least once a year or so. Every hard topped car I have ever owned has had a Thule rack, and I see no reason to stop now.

Oh, but I am going to put on the fairing after it has been modded to add one of the Honda badges I remove from the car to put the red ones on. Its in the steamer folks.

I don't know that I am going to change much mechanical, but I am considering adding offset stripes up the bonnet, over the roof and down the trunk. Probably vinyl so I can pull them up if I decide I don't like it. Similar to what I did with my 914 street car, but with the teener I painted them on.

Pics will be added as work is complete.

I'm pretty sure that something like the Kia Soul would look pretty good, offset with one large and one slim

What color is your fit?

Stripes can look good or look very very bad.

For white, something like Blue or Silver would work. Red or Black stripes... not so much.

there's a Shelby GT around here that is White with Silver Stripes. looks incredible.

Mine is black. I was thinking the stripes would be silver to match the wheels. But I am still thinking about it.

I typically don't like racing stripes, but I had a black '85 Rx-7 that had dark red stripes (previous owner did it) similar to that Soul's that looked pretty good.

i'm against "racing strips" altogether and they'll never find themselves on any car that i own; however, a black fit with flat black or satin black stripes would be sweet

I was thinking the same thing as far as color of the stripes. flat/satin black would look good.

With those two ideas...

I think that painting the stock wheels and stripes graphite would look killer on a black car. Just different enough in color to be noticeable but not to stand out.

Sorry, not a fan. IF you go with vinyl, you could simply take them off.

With the lines of the Fit I don't think you could pull off racing stripes on it. I wanted to because I like them and my last three cars had em' (Mini Cooper S, Crossfire (down on the bottom of the rocker panel, followed the door lines, looked VERY good IMO) and my first new car, 2000 Contour SVT, went with full, Cobra stripes)

The one thing I thought about was doing the V on the hood in 3M Di-Noc and trimming it with the same color orange I have on my wheels and dots for my I-VTEC and Jazz badges, think it would all tie in nicely. Sorry, too lazy to post pics of my car but if you think this would look good I'm sure you could find pics of my ride. I might end up wrapping the entire hood if this doesn't work out right too.
