Locked inside my car!

Has anyone else had this happen?

Turned my car off, went to unlock the doors and nothing happened. Tried the key fob, nothing happened, except the panic button went off. No-it wasn't my misaimed finger. Couldn't open the door with the lock or fob, or even turn the panic button off. I was able to start the car, but still no door lock action. After tries of everything eventually I was able to unlock my doors.

How did it finally unlock? You should take it to the Honda dealership for a warranty repair as soon as possible.

well, if the car started, she could've opened the window and climbed out.

After pressing buttons and locks and turning the car off and on many, many times, eventually I got out.

Didn't like that panicky feeling sitting locked in my car with the alarm going off.

Good point-it is under warranty- I'm making an appointment right after I sign off!

Windows! Didn't think off that. That would have been a sight to see a 6' tall redhead climbing out of my car in a mall parking lot!

I suppose you tried using the manual lever that is part of the interior door handle?

As an aside, my auto-unlock sometimes doesn't work if I let off the brake a split second before putting it in Park.

I had something similar happen, but I wasn't inside the car. I believe I put the AT in neutral (without starting it), rolled it out of the garage to wash it and after I did that, the door locks didn't want to work for some reason. After I started it and pulled it into the garage, they worked again.

Hi, I've just been locked inside my Honda Jazz. The alarm kept beeping too. How can I make this never happen again.

That's actually kinda scary, knowing myself I would have panicked and immediately try to get out through the window lol. Not sure the cause of it but hope all that have had this problem have got it figured out.

Locked in my own car

If you feel like locking your doors right when you get in, (so no one comes in with you) the car will freeze up and you can’t start it. You will be Locked in, or- you can get out using FOB, however must get out, open every door, to reset the damn locks, close every door and unlock with FOB. After all that and allowing weirdos to get in while doing that, your car MIGHT allow you to start it. If there’s kids in the car and a weirdo jumps in while doing this nonsense, goodbye to you all. This car sucks

Same

I took mine to the dealer and they said you can’t press lock from inside when car is off. It will freeze up and never let you start it. This car is a thief’s dream. Get in while ppl are inside the car and it’s not on yet! I HATE this car. I’ve had strangers hop in with me bc my kids are in there after I pump gas. Stuck in my car with a stranger bc I couldn’t lock right when I got in, unless I had time to start the car first!! Thanks Honda! This car ruined my life.

Wtf? Just move the small plastic lever on the door, door opens. Doesn't require power, it's a mechanical switch. Someone dumb enough to be defeated by that probably still drinks from a sippy cup and needs their vegetables sliced.
