Power door lock issue

My Fit has recently developed an issue whereby I will walk out to my car and press "unlock" on my key fob and the lights on the car will flash but the doors will not unlock. No matter how many times I press "unlock" the lights will flash but the doors will not unlock. However, if I press "lock" and hear the door locks click and then press "unlock" they will unlock.

What would be causing this? Hoping to repair this myself, dealer is way to expensive.

I have sometimes had issues with putting the car in park and having all doors except the driver door unlock if that helps (perhaps driver door isn't unlocking and the car won't unlock the rest of the doors with the key fob until the driver unlocks?)

How old is it? It sounds like one or more locks (drivers?) are not registering locked when they really are. It could be failure on the driver's door mechanism as that one has behaved wonky for you before.

Before replacing locking mechanisms I'd try "rebooting." Disconnect the battery for 10 minutes or so and reconnect (have your radio code handy).

It's a 2011 Fit with 75,000 miles. I tried your suggestion with the battery and that didn't seem to help. I'm assuming I'll have to replace the door lock actuator. Has anyone done that on these cars and how bad is it? (I've done a rear door lock actuator on a CR-V before but wasn't sure how these compared).

Shouldn't be too hard, take it easy and don't forget to reattach parts.

I forgot to reattach one tiny piece of plastic and had to tear back into the door.
