Door Locks Keep Actuating After Lock/Unlock
Door Locks Keep Actuating After Lock/Unlock
Hi All,
I promise I searched and searched for an answer here...but could not find an answer for this issue.
When I use the driver's side door lock button [on the armrest control panel] to lock or unlock the door locks...it works, then it keeps working...5-12+ times...it keeps trying to unlock/lock the doors.
The same happens when I use the key fob. But, with the key fob...it will unlock the driver's door just fine...but then to unlock the rest of the doors [pressing the button twice], it takes several more presses of the button for the car to "understand" and unlock the rest of the doors.
I was wondering:
Is there a known fix for this?
Would replacing the driver's side armrest console [door lock and windows controls] fix this?
Is there a door lock relay and if so, where is it?
Could this be the device that receives the key fob signal going out? Although, this happens with the armrest console as well......
When I disconnected the battery once awhile back, for like 20mins, it did seem to help with this a bit...so, I hope it is not an issue with the ECU. I have no codes on the dash...I have not tried pulling codes with a scanner.
TIA!!
