Trans Fluid Changed early? (30K miles).

Could be mass hypnosis: those service advisers are tricky. It's not an uncommon observation after the 1st drain/fill, but most have been changing to DW-1 from ATF-Z1 (the older Honda ATF).

I believe he missed the placebo reference in my post.

As originally stated my Fit has 32k. I am a previous tech myself. If fluid is brown, or burnt, some kind of damage has occurred! There is always a different smell associated with discoloration. I like to dump the first fluid at 15k just to get some kind of reference, but just was too busy. After getting my new car home I did check all fluids and transmission was 1/2 qt. low. Filled to proper level and been driving the @%* ever since. Although the drain and fill is not ideal. it is easy. Do it early! Maybe the large magnetic drain plug will capture a particle that may do future damage? And yes the improved shifting may be my creative imagination!
