Hi I'm new to this forum, and I'm having a problem with my 09 Fit. I took it to the dealer for a problem with the side airbag light coming on intermitently. They checked the car and told me tha what happened was that the car hit something in the bumper, underneath. The carr got couple of scrapes under the front bumper. They claim that that sensor is very sensitive and probably is damage due to being hit, is not covered by the warranty. Why a side airbag sensor would be in the front and have someone had the same issue with the warranty?

in my 2011 manual, it shows a diagram of the airbag sensors. The side airbag sensors are to the side of the drivers seat and both sides of the back row. Only the front airbag sensors are in the front. Check your 2009 manual and show the dealer. Be persistent. If this dealer doesn't take it, try another dealer.

Thanks for the info. They told me about the sensor not being covered, however, they did not give me nothing in writing. I'll try another dealer, if the other dealer comes up with the same issue, I will take it the legal way.
