Hey everyone, come welcome me!
Hey everyone, come welcome me!
I love Honda.
I bought a white 2011 Fit Sport last week and it feels so good to be back in a Honda. In the early 2000's I was really heavy into Honda tuning. If you Google my username you'll find lots of articles I've written on boosting Honda engines, etc. I was pretty well known. In 2004 I started working in an industry where the kind of car you drove mattered...so I ended up getting rid of my ridiculously fast Hondas and got myself into a Lexus, a Porsche, an NSX, and then a Mercedes which I've driven since 2006. I've moved on and realized how much I missed Hondas, and with a 70 mile daily round trip for work I decided I wanted to be a good Earthling and ditch the 4.3L V8 as my daily and get a Honda again.
For about a minute I'd considered looking for a really clean 92-95 hatch but quickly squashed that idea because I knew what would happen if I did.
So I opted for the Fit. I love it. Since it's slower than balls and there really is no hope for it, the engine will remain stock. I still have the Mercedes if I want some torque. Tomorrow morning the car is getting tinted, I have some Swift springs on the way, I'll throw on some front and rear strut tower braces for good measures, most likely powdercoat the wheels gunmetal, and then throw in a Bazooka tube. And that is IT...period! Or so I say.
Anyway, good to be here, looking forward to re-learning about Hondas!

Thanks for the Welcome. Yeah the NSX was fun and a good car but was totally impractical as a daily driver and I hit my damn head every time I got into it, but fortunately it was on long term loan from my cousin who moved to Italy since the Boxster I had was a lemon and spent more time in the shop than on the street. Had that car actually...you know...worked...it would have been a blast. Slow as hell but it handled well, and after some suspension work handled better than any car I've ever driven.
