I'm asking a favor. With the upper glove box closed, put your finger under the lip and push up gently. Is there some play? I'm trying to determine if this is a defect or a "feature."

Mine has noticeable play in it but it's not rattling when I go over bumps. So for all I know it may have been designed like this...or maybe I'm just hard of hearing.


Don't want to ask the dealer because you know, I'd like unbiased info.

 

that's not normal... it's supposed to shut perfectly lined up... well, supposed to.

but... that's just how it is on my GE, our Fits... it don't shut and line up good

 

I didn't think mine would do it, but it does. When I lift up on the upper glovebox, I can move it enough to rattle it, but I haven't noticed it rattling on its own.

 

I can pull mine up about 1/8 inch. It doesn't rattle. Seems normal to me.

 

Thanks, guys. Yeah, mine shuts perfectly lined up with the dash but then there is about 1/8 inch play if I push up on it. The fact that it does not rattle on any of our cars so far leads me to believe it's supposed to be that way.
