When i bought my fit sport, i received 2 set of keys. But I just realize I lost one of them. Do you guys know how much would cost me to get a replacement? Additionally I know each key has a chip inside in order to start the car. I know honda has to reprogram it and charges a few additional hundred dollars. Anyone knows how i can get a replacement for cheap? Thanks so much!

Or buy the key from CFL honda for $37 plus shipping. search for part# 35111-SWA-306

If Dan at CFL Honda is still around, they may comp the shipping as mentioned in this thread.

Then find a sympathetic Honda service dept to cut and program it for you. This normally runs about $60.

I just called the dealership. They said that they will not do anything unless you purchase the key from them. I was hoping to save at least $30 to buy the key online and bring it to them, but they refused!

Key = $60
program = $120
Total: $180 + tax

It is very expensive, but i really don't see any other ways to get around with it. Any suggestions?
