Trunk Light Won't Turn Off

Hey guys. So today when I tried to lock my Fit, nothing happened. I checked all of the doors, and realized the trunk light wasn't turning off. I turned the car back on and there was no warning saying the trunk was open. The light is still on now and the car won't lock with the fob (the fob will unlock it though, so that's not the issue). It's an 09 Fit. Any ideas?

Silly question, but did you try slamming the hatch closed? Usually the trunk light on and no locking indicates that the door isn't closed...

Yup, that was the first thing I tried. I even checked on the dash, and the open door light wasn't on, so the car knew the hatch was closed.

It actually worked the next day (the day after I made the post), but then it didn't work again later. It works sometimes now. I don't understand what's going on.
