This is really hard to take serious. Sure it might fit, the prototype pics don't show great fitment. I have noticed that the OP made no comment on the one fitment quality problem of which a picture was quoted as an example.

I also have a real issue with purchasing something that was put on one car, then sent out for molding. What real world testing has been done on this IE; has it been driven in the heat, cold, rain, snow, bad roads, good roads, how many miles tested? The others who have asked these types of questions and made observations would have been already discovered and answered with product testing.

Has the added weight and air resistance been accounted for with extra mounting.

I'm not insinuating shady or anything like that, just pretty amateurish. There are great differences between a parts manufacturer, and a 7000 other parts reseller. Please take these criticisms to heart if you want to succeed as an aftermarket parts manufacturer.

No offense to extreme dimensions, but to be quite honest, they're a lower end company whose body kits usually take several hours of body work to fit properly. The fit already has little aftermarket support (and even then, most are knockoff pieces of mugen like this) so take this kit for what it is and move on. Atleast they took interest in the fit to begin with.

As far as R&D, sorry gents but we don't have a wind tunnel here, nor do we have time to take out each one of our 7000+ parts on a track to check for whatever it is that you are looking for, down force? cooling? etc etc. We are not working with million dollar cars here, but I do understand the need for track ready aero upgrades for your Fit. It's way too expensive and the return is never enough to cover costs. After all if we were to do the testing everyone here requires, no one would be pay the $3000-$5000 we'd be asking after all the R&D is done, you can get another Fit for a little over that. We try to be economical here, try to bring the best of Japan to the locals of the states.

If you think of it this way, we did some R and some D on getting this to fit on the USDM GE. Give us a bit of credit for that. I hope the people that are disappointed in this kit can appreciate this sometime down the line. Thanks!

R&D!!! LOL, you guys take all the other manufactured products from companies that do R&D and destroy a good design. Butcher and steal, that is basically what your company is doing.

I am sorry I must have missed the pic you are talking about. I have 40 other forums to manage so sometimes I do miss a thread or two. Either way, I appreciate everything you've laid out for me. Keep in mind we don't have a wind tunnel at our facility, so we are unable to measure how the pressure is distributed, what the direction of the airflow is, checking for downforce or checking air velocity. I really don't expect anyone to buy this kit until it comes back to us so we can test fit the new pieces that were created from the mold that we made in house. Lucky for us and the FitFreak community that we have an individual here who owns a Fit and we can test the parts, for fitment, as soon as they come in. Sorry if I missed any of your questions. Feel free to reply if I did, thanks!

I speak the truth when I am here and I will say that sometimes we do send out a kit that doesn't fit well, its not on purpose but accidents do happen. Now let me explain why. Overtime certain molds tend to loose their stiffness and since our parts are made overseas we don't realize this mistake until the customer actually points it out. If you experience difficulties in installing our products, have no fear. We have upped out Customer Service for that reason, if ANYONE that buys any of our parts experiences fitment issues or any other issues, I will be more then happy to take a look at your pics and if the part is defective, I will replace the item for you at no additional costs, if that second part is defective then I will be more then happy to refund you back your money. Hope that sets you at ease and if you ever change your mind about making a purchase with us, we will be more then happy to help you out!

We've been in business for 10 years, going on 11. We have a lot of our own designs as well as designs that have died out, but are still in demand. We try to make upgrade your vehicles asthetics affordable. Also, we make it in a better composite. Not everyone can afford a $3,000+ J's kit or an authentic Mugen kit, nor do you have to wait 3-6 months to get your kit. At the end of the day its a buyers market. At the end of the day you, the buyer, have the right to make your own decision and go which ever direction you'd like. We just hope that you consider us. Thanks!

I appreciate the support for the GE8 chassis, since it is so unloved in the honda aftermarket. There are a lot of children on this forum, and people need to get over themselves. That being said, this kit isn't for me.

I would however, love to see something like these:

A front lip like this that would add-on to the sport front bumper:

Side skirts like this:

Just my 2 cents!

I see what you are getting at.. that wouldn't be a bad idea. I'll see what we can do about making a lip for the Fit Sport/Non-Sport

i thought bodykits died out years ago? I would love to see a nice front lip instead of a bodykit. Hell, you could make a lip and grill for the Fit and it would look better than a full bodykit and it would sell more.

If you all made a nice front lip, you'd sell tons of them compared to the body kit. My .02 on the matter.

Reading through this thread I was supportive of you showing the production/in progress photos. Your reasoning made sense, you wanted folks to see the progress to build excitement for the group buy and to see that fitting the product and making the mold took some time and attention to detail. You wanted to show REAL photos.

Then you go and post these final photos? They look edited, airbrushed, and cartoony. How about some REAL photos? How about a walk-around video? How about showing your customers what the body kit really looks like on the car and not some digital rendering.

I'm not interested in the body kit, just offering an opinion. I'm sure this body kit will tickle someone's fancy. Good luck with your group buy.

those images remind me of the stock photos that companies use on Amazon and eBay.

since when is making knock-offs called an upgrade?

yes not all can afford a 2-3K kit... guess what... this hobby cost money. and don't think that you're doing the "community" a favor coz you're not (to us that are dedicated and true to the scene), matter of fact... you're killing the scene.

what's wrong with waiting 3-6 weeks or 3-6 months? that wait is pretty much the norm from the beginning. that's the beauty of it! well... you really have to be in it to know. but how would you know... you're into overnight parts from china?

stop preaching the cause... it's pointless.

and to all that can't appreciate the time and money that some people put into their car to go legit... GTFO and take your smart comments somewhere.

then again... you will always have your market... goodluck.

and this also goes out to that guy from JDMSPORTdotCOM who carry around their cheap steering wheel around that approached me during TUNER GALLERIA and made a smart "but those J's Racing can't be real right?" FU!!! that's what you get for offering JDM shit that ain't even from or made in Japan... you can't distinguish what's real and not

sorry for the rant.

ThEvil0nE, I assume you share the same opinion when it comes to store brand vs name brand goods? Are you flaming the makers of Fruity Rings for offering a cheap alternative to Fruit Loops? Folks buying Fruity Rings know they're not buying Fruit Loops... They're good enough and they're settling. How about store brand pain relievers? I recently bought store brand migraine relief and was absolutely disappointed. I knew what I was getting myself into going with the cheaper store brand and I know going with the more expensive Excedrin Migraine would have been a better choice.

I will bow down to you for affording a bowl of Fruit Loops but please don't show me your bowl of Fruit Loops and tell me my Fruity Rings aren't good enough for me.

Just playing devil's advocate here. I'm all for paying for quality, I just don't think it's appropriate to deny someone the right to pay less for less quality or arguably the same thing without the name brand tag on it if that's what they want.

That's fair.

So, would you like to see a CAPA test fit certification? Will that be enough?
Or, are we in High School and the kid not wearing name brand is the loser?

We know this kit ain't for you but it has gained some interest and some folks are excited for it. I just don't see why that's not okay. There's a market for it and that's enough. There's a market for rice, too, whether you or I like it or not.

let's just put it this way... you are more than welcome to create or recreate or copy anything you want. you have your opinions and reservations and I have mine. you don't have to agree with me and I do the same.

like I said... you have your market or else you wouldn't be doing what you're doing.

While I don't entirely disagree with you, I will say this: just because it's purchased from an "authorized dealer/importer" doesn't make it the real deal, regardless of what the box and all the decals say. Also, just because it's a "knock-off" doesn't mean that it doesn't come from the same exact factory as the "authentic." I've personally had the privilege of working within this industry and carrying on personal relationships with others inside it. Let's just say there's a lot that goes on behind the scenes, and some companies have some truly genius marketing. In the end, you're paying for the name, plain and simple. Some companies do take on further r&d than others, but it's not always who you'd think. Just because you saw it on a track car doesn't mean what showed up at your doorstep is the "same" part.

If you want a specific brand, then make absolutely sure that what you're paying for is in all actuality truly from that brand. If you just want what works, then often it's a matter of trial, error, and an immense amount of diligent research. Just because a brand wasn't the first doesn't necessarily mean their product is the worst.

In closing, there's no catch-all statement to describe every company or individual in this industry. There's good and there's bad. There's more to the game than the name.
