Android on the Fit?

So I'm not an Apple guy, went with the little green guy. While I like my phone, I can't get my Fit to read my music files off of my SD card. Even if I tell my phone to go to USB storage, the Fit just says unsupported. I'm wondering if anyone else has gotten Android to work on the Fit.

I might try partitioning off a bit on the SD card, but I'm a little busy with work...

Thanks in advance!

Hmm, my music works off of my android phone when I plug it in. Your files are just MP3s? Only plugged it in couple times though. Haven't really fiddled with it. Right now I have my USB Flash drive in it with AAC files and it works fine.

All of my music is MP3's, and it sits in a folder on my root. I've tried two different Androids (Optimus V and Triumph) and Android 2.2 and 2.3.5. I'm confused....

Get a Tunelink and just wireless stream your music, hook up the Tunelink to your aux port. Get a Proclip mount/holder for your phone, it can be your music player/Pandora/GPS/etc in-car.

That's funny, because I have a Optimus V too and it works fine. I have my files in a folder in the root too and I can switch around through the folders inside that folder. All I do is plug it in and then hit use as USB Storage then hit AUX on the screen and it opens one of the folders.

And this is why non-technical people don't like androids.

it's possible the phone is NOT making the SD card accessible in USB Mass storage mode... but only the internal memory.

another thing is, have you restarted your phone? I know that once in a while the Fit will pop up with that error when using my ipod touch, even in the middle of playing a song. the only solution is to force reboot of the ipod and restart the car (or switching into and out of the diagnostics mode). Simply powering off and on of the radio via the power button isn't enough. That power button is really more of a standby mode, than actual power.

My iPod shuffle doesn't work on the Fit either.

It has always worked fine with my android phones. I use a thumb drive now tho, because its much easier, and I can just leave it in.

Droid CM7
Incredible CM7
Fascinate CM7
Droid Charge 2.3.6
Thunderbolt CM7

Ill see if i can move music to internal storage on my triumph, because it has some actual memory. I even tried moving from 2.2 to CM7.1 on my triumph, to no avail.

Oh, and I'm plenty tech savvy enough, its just I can't for the life of me get the damn thing to work.
