2012 Fit Buyers Check in!!! Welcome and Congrats!
with luck a photo
I'll try to add a photo. One reason this car is exciting to me, besides the obvious, is that I used to swear by Honda's and owned them for 15 years from my first in 1982. I always wanted a Charcoal Grey Accord and they were in such short supply back them I accepted and learned to love my 1983 light Blue Accord LX hatchback. So this Charcoal Grey Fit seems like coming home.

Here is the window sticker from my 1982 Civic sedan. I noticed that in 1982 it was rated at 35 MPG - looks like they didn't list a city/highway back then.

When viewing your picture on Flickr open the "Share" menu and select "BBCode". Copy&paste this BBCode into your post here on FF. If the BBCode option is not there it's because you've chosen a restrictive license for your photo.
Bought my Polished Metal Metallic Fit Basic on Saturday (21 April) in Florida. A bit of a difference from my previous car (98 BMW 328i convertible with alot of fun stuff I added myself.) I've been on this site for a couple of days and the wealth of information is fantastic. I really want to personalize this car pronto and I hope you guys don't mind I'll be picking your brains from time to time.

Just got my 2012 Fit Sport
After a horrific experience with one Honda dealer, I jumped ship and went to another one. Both told me they had the model I wanted in stock. In both cases, they lied and after the deal was struck, told me I had to wait until they could locate one. But after all is said and done, it's here and I'm really happy with my decision. I got a Sport model (auto) in silver. (I drink too much coffee to drive a stick.) Loaded it up with lots of accessories, all of which I'm glad I got. The only thing that was missing was the leather interior, so yesterday I ordered triple-black leather clazzio seats from bean garage, who told me they were in stock and would ship immediately. Of course, today they emailed me and said those covers are out of stock and I will have to wait approx four weeks for them. The only covers they now say are in stock are triple-grey, which I don't think will look good considering everything (doors, carpet, etc.) inside the cabin (other than the head liner) is black. The only thing I really don't like about my new Fit is the velcro-like seats that lock onto anything and everything (dust, hair, etc.) they can. I haven't even had the car three days and my seats are covered in foreign objects lol. So that's why I'm so pissed about the clazzios. Any suggestions / workarounds would be appreciated.

Did you ask them if the had the black/black/black all PVC? You really can't tell the difference between those and the Clazzio's with the leather insert.
I used one of those sticky rollers and a microfiber towel to clean the seats. Seemed to work well, but still incredibly difficult to keep clean.
Thanks for the welcome and suggestion. Yes, I did ask about the all PVC. They told me that is also unavailable for another month or so.
They must have had a run on the covers. It'll be worth the wait!
2012 Fit Sport MT
We just brought home our 2012 Fit Sport MT in polished metal metallic. $18,5xx OTD from Bay Area dealer. Actually went to this dealer to look at a used 2011 model, but decided on the new one when the dealer made us a great offer. Never thought I'd buy a brand new car, but the resell value on these things is so great, depreciation is a non-issue. Our car buying service didn't believe the offer, nor did most other dealers in the area when I tried to see if anybody would match it. The MT is rare now apparently. Took about 5 weeks to actually get the car from Japan, but well worth the wait. Took it down to Santa Cruz over the weekend and averaged 41.9 mpg. Wow. Will post pic later...
congrats on your purchases and weclome to fit freak, lots of great posts on here.
the 2012 Fit has a few improvements so it's definitely a great choice.
I myself drive a 2012 raspberry blue fit and luv the car.
I'm looking for a 2012 fit sport with Navi, hope to have one in the next few months!

The OTD conversation is compelling. I haggled with some help from my father in law and got a 2012 PMM AT Sport for about 20K exactly OTD. I ws pretty psyched about that til I read this thread, then I started to wonder... Did I overpay? I agree that there is some confusion about what OTD actually means, and maybe some of you just don't want to fess up on what you actually paid. Everyone wants to beat the odds, but these dealerships bend...they don't break. Sorry, just a newbie's 2 cents.

This is my girl when I first bought her. Brand spanking new and my first actual new car. I bought her for about $14,995. She's a base model. I don't plan to upgrade her too much as this picture was taken on February 19th... I've already got 6,000 miles on her. My DD is torture on this poor car and she handles it like a champ. I'll likely be trading her up before the 5yr, 75k mile warranty runs out. Either for a new Fit Sport model or Mazda3. My only plans for her since I will not be keeping her long will be to add a spoiler.
In the 3 months that I've had it.. It's already managed to get a chip in the wind shield and someone was so awesome that they put a nice dent in the rear right fender. (No they didn't leave a note and Yes, I usually park AWAY from others, but at Six Flags it's kind of hard to do that. >.<)
Other then that though, love my Fit! Just wish she had more power.

I got my 2012 AT Sport Orangeburst on Monday (18 miles on it) for $18,498.75 OTD. From what I researched it was the second to last Orangeburst in the state of MA at this time...until restock of course. I LOVE it!!!
Oh, and my OTD included taxes, all fees, registration, inspection, etc. I did trade my old 1997 car in for $600. I did all negotiation online so I just had to go in and basically sign papers...painless.

Great forum! I've been doing a lot of reading here since I picked up my Fit last month. 2012 sport AT. So far I've only tinted it. 35% in the front and 5 on the back. Haven't decided what else I want to do yet, but am loving the car!
I got my 2012 Fit Sport with AT in Alabaster Silver with pinstripes, rear rubber tray, and bumper strip protection for $18,205 OTD (plus 7% GA sales tax). The dealer has this ridiculous mandatory admin fee of $599 that's included in price. But all in all I think I got a good deal -- all other dealers were $800-900 more than this.
I am real happy with my car. Absolutely nothing wrong with it to take back to dealer for any correction, repair, etc. I think the car is quiet, no road noise like what this forum warned about, and the iPod music sounds awesome in my car. It's comfortable enough for me as long as I don't have to drive long distances without stopping for a stretch. Things I wish Honda had included along with all the other nifty features: locking gas filler door, lighted ignition key hole on steering column and outside temperature readout.
I bought 11/1/11 and now have less than 5,000 miles. A dealer here in Florida where I am traveling in my motorcoach said that my driving style dictates when to change the oil and that with only 50% used on the digital reading gizmo he says I won't need to service it until perhaps 7,500 miles.
I tow my Fit 4 wheels down behind my Monaco Marquis motorcoach.

I don't understand your logic then. The 1 yr anniversary is next November and I'm at 50% not 15%.
I think the first service has more to do with driving habits and how hard one drives the car. I hear one thing from a dealer and then another from the next dealer. Yet another from you. I don't know what to do. I guess I should read the directions in the manual, huh?
