2012 MT and AT Invoice Price

According to cars.com the invoice for the 2012 MT is $14,644.

One dealer I spoke with said the invoice for the 2012 AT was $16,000. cars.com does not have the invoice for the AT.

I cant believe there is that much of a difference for the MT and AT invoice.

Who is correct?

Thanks!

I'm guessing since the msrp on the base AT is $15975 I'm going to guess no $16k isn't right. Maybe he quoted you the sport msrp.

2012 Invoice

adolan:

I think I know what happened he gave me an invoice on a 2012 Base AT with destination of 775.

So invoice would be 16,000 - 775 = 15,225 (approximately).

So 2012 Base MT Invoice: 14,644
and 2012 Base AT Invoice: about 15,225

I may be wrong here!

I was thinking the same thing as well. I would drive both and see. I did and I found the AT to hunt a lot for gears but was definitely livable. I picked my MT without a doubt because of the price difference; I got my 2009 Crystal Black Pearl Fit MT with 40K miles for $13,800 with it being Certified Preowned. My other option was a 2009 Tidewater Blue Metallic AT with 30K miles for $16.5 also certified. The color was definitely not for me and I really liked the MT. I live in a small town with not much traffic so having a MT wouldn't be too bad for me.

yeah I think you can't really talk them down from the destination charges. truecar.com I think gives pretty accurate invoice prices. Also they include a "regional ad fee", which I don't think is usually up to negotiation. For my area the regional ad fee was about $150-160.

So around here the price for a base auto would be $15,412 + $770 dest + $160 = $16,022.

I bought the base manual and the sales manager showed me the invoice, and it pretty much exactly matched the truecar numbers.

$500 over dealer price is pretty much the best you could go

One dealer told me he would give me the 2012 Base AT for 16,200.

I have to ask him about the MT.

What would you say the 2012 Base MT would be?

I paid 15,560 + tax for my 2012 Base MT. That's right at invoice with the 770 dest and regional ad fee included in that price already.
