Insect Screening

Since bugs will soon be out, I'm looking for an insect screen to apply to the front of the car. Already have a MagnetBra, but it covers only the front of the hood and does not protect the lights, radiator, etc.

You used to see these for $10-15 at WalMart, etc. but not anymore. Even searched online and can only find such products for trucks.

Anyone know of any sources? Thanks.

Too expensive and does not protect the grill and radiators from bugs.
Thanks for the suggestion.

Something like this?...

Fia Universal Fit Bug Screens | RealTruck.com

I doubt if you'll find one built specific for the Fit, but you should be able to get something that will work. You must live next to a swamp? Bugkill is annoying though.

Neteng -

Thanks for the information.

Actually, there is a very large body of water nearby. I drive along by the water twice a day (morning and evening) and the numbers of insects that strike the car could be measured in ounces. They're already out and looking to hit my car!

Sol - In my case, the hood is already protected by MagnetBra, so I don't think rubbing on the paint will occur. That screen looks ugly, though.

I may end up making one from very soft, nearly invisible, dark screening for tents. Just need to stitch soft nylon or vinyl edging on the periphery. Attachment would be by stretch cords.
