2012FitFan - My Fit
I'm really enjoying my Fit. I won't be doing anything with the suspension or engine. This is my daily driver. I was thinking of some interior trim, but haven't made up my mind yet. I'm also thinking of upgrading the headlight bulbs. Of course, nothing like some of the great mods here on the forum. Some of them are quite amazing.
I'm closing in on 25,000 miles and my Fit is running great. No issues. Gas mileage has been great and better than I expected. I couldn't be more pleased with my Fit. Best vehicle purchase I've made in awhile.
If I make a change in the future, I'll add a pic or two to this thread. Maybe even a pic when it's cleaned up!
A few pics of the goodies I've added thus far...
Clazzio Seat Covers
VG Shark Fin Antenna
Window Tints - 32%
Cargo Cover
Cargo Tray
Zeta OEM style door sill covers
U-Ace 3D Floor Liners KAGU
OEM Door Visors

The aftermarket "high performance" headlight bulbs cost a lot more and last maybe a 10th as long while outputting the same amount of light (lumens) as standard halogens. Regulations prevent them from making brighter lights. The only difference is the color of the light. (here are sylvania's specs)
Unless you're talking about High Intensity Discharge (HIDs) and either scoff at regulations (and oncoming drivers) or spend a lot for proper projectors/lenses.
The best bang for your buck might be LED interior lighting. The plug and play modules that replace dome and map lights. Would showcase the seats! This seller was recommended to me by someone who knows electronics as having good product. Haven't changed mine, but next time my Fit feels depressed I might cheer her up with a set.

I installed them myself. Not hard at all, just labor intensive. You may need some advil afterwards, because they are a tight fit. You can definitely do it yourself. Here's a small review I posted, with a couple of tips: https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-...ml#post1073202

Thanks Fit Fan, but I deserve a big dope slap. I had read your Clazzio review and tips when you first posted - just forgot - must come with age. And I have plenty of Advil on hand left over from my Mugen exhaust install, though more then for knuckles than fingers!

I'm digging the clazzios fitfan and awesome choice in exterior color too!

3-4 hours. Maybe it could be done quicker, but I took breaks. Plenty of pulling, tugging and massaging during install. Being sore afterwards is a given.

Zeta door sills installed. You can't beat these for less than $50. I got them for less than $44 from Zeta's eBay store. I had a few eBay bucks to burn.
They have them there for $48.95 shipped to your door. Install is super easy. The quality is real good. Very nice brushed aluminum insert in ABS plastic. Even though the OEM sills look very nice, I couldn't see myself dropping a $100 for them. I recommend these as a great alternative.
A couple of pics. Sorry if they aren't so good. I'll take some later on in better light.

2012FitFan Those sills look great! How do they fasten?
I started out thinking I would just keep my car stock but I must say ever little upgrade you've done is both practical and adds to the appeal of the Fit. Well Done!
Do you have the center armrest yet?

They attach with 3M tape strips. Peel and stick. I haven't done the armrest. I don't think I will. I'm comfortable with the space between the front seats and the sport armrest works fine for me.

I was never a fan of the OBM color on the Fits. But for the 2012 they look so much better... Maybe it's because of the black headlights and the rims and the wider grill. Looking good so far.

Thanks!
Thanks! I think prior to 2012 the orange color was a little different. OBM looks copper at times. Sort of a burnt orange color. I like the black accents as well!
