Forgot key pod was in jeans and washed them.

I forgot that I left my keys in a pair of jeans. When I took the jeans out of the washer I found the keypod. My heart sank & I cursed myself for being so stupid. I walked out to the porch and aimed it my Fit and ... it worked!
Good job keypod!

Good News! Might want to take the battery out and dry , then use hair dryer or something similar to dry out inside of opener. Just to be safe.

Water-proof key pod. That's added to my reasons-to-get-a-Fit list. Haha...

When I bought my Fit I was in my work pants, and put the spare key in the cargo pocket and forgot about it. I did laundry 2 days later and didn't remember the key till 3 days later. I got it out and ran outside to test it, but it worked just fine.

Might want to use the rice method just to make sure the inside is dry. However, the problem isn't usually the water as much as the minerals in the water that will deposit in the cell phone, key fob, etc.
