Coffee!

And now for the important stuff. I had my first commute today, 25 miles one way, and couldn't figure out where to put my commuter mug. For years I've used a tall, thin, Nissan thermos mug with a flip-top lid, but it's a little tall for the front cup holders and a little thick for the square storage bins on the console or the dash. What "Coffee systems" work best?

I use the front right center cup holder when I commute with a coffee thermos.

I have a 16 oz Contigo Autoseal tumbler among others. I prefer tumblers over mugs with handles. It does not fit well in the squarish cup holders in the dash because of the bulge it has. Other than that I use some cheap plastic freebee ones that don't hold the coffee hot very long.

I was thinking of buying a Thermos Sipp tumbler or a Thermos Nissan or something similar. Then I could put it in the left side dash cup holder. Zojirushi also makes a similar one.

I found this article. It describes the one I am using. I love it!

Corona - Trudeau Corporation - Kitchen and Table Products, Glassware, Bar and Wine Access

The article link. All about travel mugs...

I must say. A large two milk from Tim Hortons fits nice in the right centre console cup holder. So does a Venti medium roast from Starbucks...

But in the end nothing beats my french press...

I don't use any of the holders, mine fits very snuggly between the driver seat and the parking brake lever. Base of cup is prob 3" diameter.

+1 !

I have 2 mugs like this and take them both with me (we Seattleites love our coffee). I too prefer my own french press coffee to any commercial product!

got a Starbucks metal thermal mug , too-- it fits in the front driver side cup holder perfectly. Hope it lasts longer than my plastic Starbucks container did.

You have these big round holders on the corner of the dash. I can easily put a large McDonalds drink cup there, or anything smaller still works just fine.

Hey no fair! I want one. <pouting>

I forgot to say I also have a Starbucks mug that doubles as a small french press and this is my everyday mug around the house, although I don't use it to make my coffee. It fits in the Fit great, too.

I figured out a solution: the shallower of the two rear console upholders works well with my Nissan Thermos. Yeah.
