T1r + skunk2 short shifter
So, I've been searching for a month now, and I've seen a lot f different combo questions, a couple theory answers, and a couple real answers for other combos. I just wanted to post my experience with my set-up.
I installed my t1r short shift last September, love it. It had great tight throws, the only "downside" is the install. Mugen is way easier, but I wouldn't say this one is too hard for anyone.
I saw a skunk2 short shift adaptor in the GD for sale section, so I thought, what the hell. Got it last week, today was my first day off work to install. The only hiccup is that it extends it to the point where you can't shift into 1-3-5. The answer I found in another thread is take a ball peen hammer and whack the crap out of the sheet metal to make space. Add the spacers that come with the skunk2 adaptor, put everything back together and enjoy!
Basically all I'm saying is, it works. And it's SHORT!

This is probably one of the best posts i've read on this forum... completely under the radar!
I had a GD with the Skunk2 and loved it, I think I may pull the trigger now and install this on my new GE.
Sadly this member isn't around anymore, I would love to question more about what section needs to be hammered and how much wacking. Are you talking about right under the shifter?
