2012 Basic Automatic: $17,230 OTD

While this post is about 2013s, I found that now is a great time to get a new 2012 for cheap. I got a new 2012 basic model automatic for 17230 otd (with new tags and Chicago Cook County taxes). Here is how I did it.

I emailed almost every dealer in the Chicago area asking them for their lowest price. Once a clear lowest price emerged, I sent it to all of the dealers and asked if they could beat it. I kept doing this until only 4 dealers were still talking to me. I went to the dealership with the lowest offer. They tried to go back on some of their promises. I threatened to walk out. They stuck to their promise.

Interest rate of 3.6% with 735 credit if you're interested.

Hello everyone!!! This is my first post. I've read all the check-ins from everyone, so i know the price was for the 2012 and 2013 fit. After 2 months of intense searching for a fit all over Florida I ended with a 2013 Honda fit base MT for $16,493 OTD tonigh. I even told them to add the floor mats and they said no, so I did the walking out slowly. And they still didnt call me back in. Knowing this is the best deal I've gotten so far I had to walk back in and take it. Feels awesome to own a fit. Thank you to all.

The sole difference is a new paint color; otherwise, the 2012 and 2013 US models are identical.

Hey Gang --

This past weekend I picked up a Blue Raspberry base Fit, automatic transmission for 15,915.00. With 7.75% sales tax and various fees, my otd price was a wee bit under $17,500.

No pics just yet...if I get a chance later, I'll post one.

nice! I like the Polished Metal metallic color a lot!
the raspberry blue looks really good to eventhough it's more of a girls color.
I just bought a 2012 PMM Fit Sport with Navi, can't wait to get it.
There is no difference between the 2012 and 2013 Fits, and the US FIts are still made in Japan, Canadian Versions are made in China.
I have a US 2012 Fit sport

On October 1st I traded my 2010 Fit sport for a 2013 Fit sport manual Polished metal metallic. With $2260 positive equity from the trade and $340 down, I financed $15600 out the door at 1.99% interest! Payments are a very reasonable $273 a month.

$17367 for a 2013 Fit Base MT, no extras. That's $15369 for the vehicle + $1351 tax + $218 DMV fees + $330 finance charge (I got 1.49% financing w/ $6500 down).
