Help me identify this connector

edit: The car is a year 2010 honda fit sport automatic transmission. Bought new. 100% stock. \edit

I was cleaning the fit out the other day and I noticed some wires hanging down by the pedals. I took a few photos. What are these connectors for?

Here is a link to the photos:

Might help if some background on the car is posted - model year, bought new/used, maybe recent work done on the car, etc... Yup look like connectors to me...

No, there is just the stock keyless entry system.

A brief google says its from a Clifford alarm, though the connector might be more widely used than that.

With that much electrical tape, I would assume it was someone trying to install something and couldn't get it right.

Sometimes dealers install their own alarms for just while the car is on their lot.

agreed, Take it to the dealer and have them replace any of the "spliced" wiring which did not come from honda that way with factory wiring. you bought a NEW vehicle and unless it lists that extra on your invoice, it should not have been included on a NEW car. You don't want the potential headache that comes down the road if there is an electrical problem and you have to take it to a dealer. Another dealer may not honor your factory warranty.

IMO, that is "damage" that needs to be fixed by the dealer that sold you the car.
