IS paint covered under the Honda Warranty?

I have a 2012 Fit, I have owned it approximately 6 months and 1 day, today. While washing my car earlier I realized that the paint on the hood by the headlights is warping, it is bubbly. Having had this issue previously with my civic which led to my paint peeling, I'M SCARED!!
So, I was wondering is this covered under my New Car Warranty?
Can I call my dealer?
This sucks
THANK YOU in advance.

I'm no expert in the warranties, but as long as you've taken good care of the paint washed/waxed, etc. I think it would be covered, as it sounds to be a defect in the craftsmanship of the car. I'd check with the Dealer, and see what they're first reaction is, and then work from there.

Check your warranty book. Then take that to the dealer with you. You can also call Honda care and lodge a complaint with them . This way if the dealer refuses or whatever call Honda care back and have them deal with it.

But I doubt you will get a hassle from what you describe.

Take the FiT into your dealer and have the Service Manager look at it and take pictures to submit to Honda for authorization.

I had paint peeling on the front bumper of the wife's FG1 and Honda covered the repair. Unfortunately they made a complete mess of the front bumper and HFP kit, including overspray everywhere. I went to the bodyshop myself to go over what was expected and they repainted the front bumper complete, replaced the inner fenderwells and made sure the car was repaired to my satisfaction. It took them 2 times to fix it, but it got done correctly and Honda paid the whole bill.

So yes, if it's a factory defect, Honda should pay for it.

Fading paint appearance may go beyond the warranty bounds, but what you describe is more serious. Given the car is effectively new, you won't have any issues getting the hood replaced ... especially since a hood repair is super easy :P (Just bolt a new one on!).

Don't take any junk about "it's normal" or "it probably won't get worse." If you want to give it another month and photograph it with the dealer at beginning and end, feel free, but it will definitely get worse if it's rusting already.

rust/corrosion is covered.

if there are chips/sratches a teh bubbling, they wont fix it.

it has to be a clear dfect tha tis comign from under the paint in order ot have honda fix it. id say 99% of the time, they will claim it as wear and tear

A service manager once told me that some problem was routine and that I should expect problems like that in a six year old car (I think it was an A/C problem that they didn't fix right). I said "How would you feel if I went upstairs to the showroom and repeated what you just said to all the people about to buy new cars? That they shouldn't expect them to last six years?"

They fixed it. And I'll never buy another VW.
