What i gather from your post is that if i had XXR's, Rota's, Drag's, etc. on my car i don't take pride in it, but i'm not supposed to care that some douche in Walmart parking lot let his Cavalier's door swing into my door? Or that someone out there is driving around stealing OEM wheels which are $400 a pop according to my insurance company?
I park in normal spaces and my car has two door dings on it, both miniscule and from the previous owner.

I don't live in an area that is full of enough suck to worry about theft.

Cliffs: Live in nice area.

Double Cliffs: My recklessly owned/driven car is in better condition and treated to better parts than your stock blandness.

Yeah, ya know, because thieves don't target nice neighborhoods and even gated communities....right. Your logic is fucked.

Your car may be in better condition than mine and you have better parts, but like you said, it's a Fit and what's the sense of running $1000 wheels on a DD of this caliber? Since mine is already paid off i'll put the better parts on our new car we'll be getting in the spring.

i never really liked rota's but im sporting a set right now that i bought as my winter set. it's suppose to be an advan knock-off but it doesn't look very similar to the original so i accepted it as a generic wheel shaped in a popular design.

if the advans came in gunmetal color, proper size and offset, and was readily available, i would've gotten that instead. availability and convenience is a big thing for me.

basically i dont like to be hassled with things that arent productive as i dont have time for it. that includes getting scratches and dings fixed. i can fix dings in my garage. i have tools and training to do it, but still, better not to get one in the first place as i dont have time to spare for these non-productive things.

I have multiple cameras on my house including driveway. Its cool to have eyes from smartphone. Not just for security, even for cking if roads are dry or not, etc.

That's why I got the base model. NOBODY is going to steal my car's wheels.

Move to Denver or SLC. Your auto insurance will drop in half, compared to CA. And I don't have to seriously worry about the car being gone the next day.

672/year on a Fit? Even for a single male under 25 that's bad.

More or less I pay ~$600 a year, but that's comprehensive and really high liability coverage, plus towing coverage. Insurance is hard to compare from person to person cuz it's both dependent on the person and the coverage (minimal vs maximal).

Many places.

You're obviously new to the internet if you think anything said in this thread or site in general is harsh.

My buddy has no traffic tickets, nothing on his record and has USAA, he still pays $60+ a month for his Fit. Our area is shitty for insurance, high crime and terrible drivers calls for higher insurance here.

Well sure, but then they'd be about 3-4 feet into my space (past the line).

I park my baby in a my garage and am always anal about how/where I park in order to prevent dings and can proudly say my '09 still has no door dings. BUT an acorn or something fell from a tree and gave me a ding on the ROOF!

If you live in South Sac ( i.e. Florin Rd, Stocton Blvd, Lemon Hill, or Fruitridge) get wheelocks on your tires, but your car should be safe parked outside. Theives go after eary model Hondas (90's Accords or Civics). You're good.
