New TPMS on 2012 Base
Hello all, first off, I am very new to honda and these newfangled sensors.
I browsed around looking for specific info on 2012 tpms and found some conflicting info so here are my questions/background:
I bought a new set of 16" MSW type 23 with 205/50 Hankooks from Tirerack. They will come mounted, balanced, with new lugs and new tpms. Its my understanding that I have to get them re-programmed, not a big deal but where is the best place to go? Can I drive without them being programmed? Is there an issue with ABS/VSA/TCS? Some of the threads I looked at mentioned they are linked and that with the removal of tpms they stop functioning.
Pics for clicks:

Thanks in advance!

My understanding is that pretty much any tire place has the tool to reprogram the car.
Driving without having it programmed will cause the TPMS to give a code and go into fault mode. Long story short, you'll have a light on your dash and the VSA system will be stuck active as opposed to being capable of being bypassed. Really short: you'll get a light on the dash, but everything will work as before.
