force the mm to show upcoming codes

My '09 Sport will need a state safety inspection before the end of the month. I'd like to get the oil changed along with the inspection in order to save me from having to make a second trip to the dealer. I expect that my maintenance minder will show 20% oil life remaining at that time (it's been on 30% seemingly forever). Is there a way to force it to show the codes at 20% that it would have shown when I got down to 15%, or should I simply ask them not to reset it when they change the oil and then wait for it to drop to 15%?

If you reset it yourself right now, it should show you the codes that were up next. And then it will reset to 100%. At least that's how it is for the 07-08 models.

Look in your owner's manual. It tells you how to reset it, and it should say whether or not the next codes are displayed when you reset it early.

Press the button for approx. 10 seconds, the codes will appear. Release the button. Don't press the button again or you will reset your MM. After a few seconds the odometer will reappear.

you can press the button again, you just can't HOLD the button. you actually have to hold the button for a few seconds to reset the mm.
