Basic MM question (sorry).
I have 27K miles on my car and have gotten the oil changed 2 times so far (both times when the MM was at 20%). The MM is currently at 30% and I'm thinking of changing the oil soon (when it's at 20%).
I have never had the MM give me another code at all. My question is does the oil indicator need to reach 0% before other MM indicators are displayed?
Should I wait until the MM shows 0% and then reset my indicator or is this just because at 27K miles, the MM codes have had no need to display?
Thanks.

^^ Ditto. You just haven't driven far enough past 20% for the codes to pop up. Once the car hits 15%, the MM percentage will pop up as well as a code with the letter "A" or "B" as well as a number or combination of the numbers 1 through 5.
If you are not sure of what the codes would mean please refer to the image below. Disregard the fact that this is from the 2008 Fit manual, the maintanence minder codes show exactly the same on the majority of Hondas except for AWD & 4WD models (which have a 6th number for their transfer cases and rear differential fluid).
If you cannot read the image either save it on your hard drive, click it and zoom in or right click the image, open in new tab, then his "Ctrl" and scroll up on your mouse to zoom in.

No need to press any buttons for codes. The very moment the oil life hits 15%, it will instantly display "15%" as well as the letter and number(s) code system. This will constantly pop up every time you start up the car and will disappear once you tap the trip/select button but still store the code and percentage.
The only time the trip/select button really has to be held down is during MM reset.

i start thinking about doing an oil change at 15% when the wrench icon lights up. actually my GE is at that point right now so i will be doing the change on Sat.
ive had the car go into -400miles or something once. nothing happened though.... no voice saying i must change now or else... im using synthetic so -400 is nothing. the wrench icon is based on dino oil.
