Edit: Yea the steelies use the ball type as well, only difference is its a open type instead of closed end acorn on the alloy version.

if you HAVE to, use these. I used them for a little bit, but you have to be certain that they're centered and torques correctly. you don't want your lugs backing out.

You could get these ball seat closed end red nuts M12 1.5 16 for only $26 I bought the black ones and they are excellent with a very hard paint finish.
