Horn going off indicated the car is LOCKED

My horn doesn't go off when I press the LOCK on the alarm key. Is it just a connection issue, but my horn works when I press it on the steering wheel. Any ideas?

I've noticed that you have to press the lock button on the remote twice before the horn goes off

It doesn't work when it is pressed twice. Followed all the other threads (hood closed, all doors closed, etc.), and it still doesn't beep. Anyone know problem? Connection problem maybe? if so, any step by step solution?

Not a cure but FYI. The horn on wheel is not the same one for the locking system. There are two horns.

I dont think that's true, it sounds like one horn found in the front, where is the other horn located? Its not like the BMW and Toyota's with that very faint electronic beeping noise.

The Security horn is located on the driver's side behind the front bumper.

Yea and that's the same one that makes noise if i hit the horn button on the steering wheel. Its the one mounted on the core support in front of the condenser yes?

NO! Look down the top right when facing the car. It is way down behind the bumper.

Black3sr is right, the alarm horn is located behind the front bumper in the passenger front area.
Do your parking lights blink when you attempt to press the button twice?
May be fuse related. Or maybe Honda forgot to put your horn for the alarm in.
We have all seen weird things like this before!!

+1 for both Black & Pat

There are two horns, one for the security, one for the Steering wheel button. A few people were surprised when they replaced their horn with the accord one to find out that when they pressed the lock button twice, it sounded exactly the same.... (because it's a different horn)

man i wish my horn for my keyless lock didn't make a sound.. its embarrassing when that tiny horn goes off.

i didnt know about the dual horn..
i actually read in a linked thread to this that there was a valet mode? i was going to try that when i finish work. that might make it totally silent.. *shrug*

Besides replacing or disconnecting... not much you can do. I Play it up and show it off. Some ford locks their doors and the horn honks... I say: "Is that really a horn? How Wimpy is that... Check this out...:" ~meep~ People laugh and I say... Better honda cutting corners there than on the engine, brakes, or tires... It's actually a talking point that has gotten people interested in the car who hadn't really noticed it. go figure!

Well don't push the button twice. Once is enough to lock the doors and if you are close you can hear them lock.

I guess I have to take off the front bumper and see if there is a disconnection or fuse. I read somewhere there was two horns. Thanks for all of your inputs.

Why do you want it to beep? A bit of work to remove bumper and it is not likely the horn itself. The fuse is in the fuse box not by the horn. In your manual it will tell you which fuse to check.
