iPod Touch "Unsupported"

+1 on the usb flash drive. My iphone5 sometimes causes problems. But i prefer keeping a stick with prac my whole music collection. What buggs me is trying to organize the folders and files. I have yet to figure out which part of music tags allow the files to play in order.
The play order is the underlying flash memory's index structure; the order they are added is the order they play. There are utilities for the PC you can download (sorry I don't know any offhand) that will allow you to manage the specific order in the index so you can do something other than last-in-last-out.

The USB module on the Fit's factory radio is pretty dumb. It will "see" only folders that have playable music files, so no making a hierarchy of folders like "Mine" and "That Woman's" with subfolders for albums. Better to have two USB flash drives.

Guilty and agree. My fav still is alpine everything, love the speakers and amps, Minus their head units..not a fan of their configuration. But since production has left japan to china theyre quality are no longer what they once were IMO.

I use a $10 USB flash drive with the factory radio. No experience with the JVC unit but it looks respectable for the price.
edit: one thing to check before making the leap to an aftermarket radio is if it is compatible with your steering wheel controls. Crutchfield sells wiring harness adapters for this, but they aren't cheap ($80) and may not give full functions. Sorry, there's a downside to everything...

I have a photo, but I don't know how to attach it

Checking the manual only the navigation equipped 09 Fits have steering wheel controls. (Mine doesn't either ). Maybe later models have these without navigation.
The good news is if you decide to replace the radio, you don't have to worry about steering wheel controls working or not.
